Someone Loves You

The greatest need of any human being is to know that they are loved and accepted.

Most of the pursuits we engage in are for us to be able to fulfill certain unwritten conditions and expectations, and be accepted by family, friends, and society.

Yet, there is someone who loves you without you having to strive to meet any condition. Just because you are the epitome of his creation, he showers his love for you. In fact, you are, in the first place, because of his love.

You may have failed by human standards. You may not have attained the heights you set for yourself. It is possible you have disappointed your family and have not lived up to societal expectations. Yet, there is someone who loves you despite your failures and inadequacies, both real and imagined.

He foresaw you in your struggles and inadequacies. He knew that if he did not intervene, you would perish. So, in his love he chose to bear your sin and suffer its consequences, to save you from sin and its penalty!

This person is God Almighty!

He went to the farthest extent to demonstrate his love for you, not in the things you have, or do not have. Here is the one proof of his everlasting loyal love to you:

Romans 5:8 BSB But God proves His love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

1 John 4:9 NIV This is how God’s love was revealed among us: God sent His one and only Son into the world, so that we might live through Him.

1 John 4:10 This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins.

John 3:16 NET For this is the way God loved the world: He gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life.

The greatest, ultimate demonstration of the love of God is that Christ laid down his life for us. There is no greater love than this (John 15:13).

This love of God is neither conditional nor fickle as human love. It is constant. It is immovable. It is sure. It is perfect.

God loves you. Do not allow the devil, circumstances, or people tell you otherwise. Do not give up on life. Do not give up on yourself. Do not give up on God. He loves you. He cares about you. There is still much more in his plans for you. If he did not withhold his Son, then there is still more to you and for you, in him.

God loves you and nothing can reverse that. Not your past; not your future; not the most horrible failure; not the greatest disappointment; not the most devastating sickness; not even the worst sin; nor death, can separate you from His love in Christ (Romans 8:31-39).

We cannot locate this love in our emotions, experiences, or circumstances. We locate the love of God in what he did for us and in us, in Christ!

I pray and receive for you (Ephesians 3:18-19):

That you be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the width and length and depth and height, to discover the great magnitude of the astonishing love of Christ in all its dimensions, his extravagant love which passes knowledge; that you may be filled with all the fullness of God. Amen.

Rest in Christ. Rest in God’s eternal love!

Spread the love
